On 5 April 2016 the JRC presented the interactive and collaborative online European Energy Efficiency Platform. This beta platform is conceived to fill the gap opened by scattered data and fragmented knowledge resulting from a rapidly growing energy efficiency market. It is expected to be both a one-stop shop for information retrieval and a meeting point for experts to exchange data and reduce redundant activities.
This report details a methodology for performing a Comprehensive Assessment identifying the most resource and cost-efficient solutions to meet heating and cooling demands for a given country or region in accordance with Energy Efficiency Directive Article 14 and Part 1 of Annex IX.

The workshop presents the scale of the highly costeffective energy savings that can be obtained from broader and more effective adoption of energy management (EM) across the EU, followed by an open discussion with representatives of industry and the Commission, on how current EU policy instruments (such as the EPBD and the EED) could evolve to become more supportive of unlocking these largescale savings.
