On 5 April 2016 the JRC presented the interactive and collaborative online European Energy Efficiency Platform. This beta platform is conceived to fill the gap opened by scattered data and fragmented knowledge resulting from a rapidly growing energy efficiency market. It is expected to be both a one-stop shop for information retrieval and a meeting point for experts to exchange data and reduce redundant activities.
Visit of the CARTIF's Research Centre Prof. Vasallo to JRC Ispra
Prof. Vasallo from CARTIF research centre in Valladolid (Spain) is the winner of the poster session at the SET Plan Conference last November in Bratislava and he has been invited for a visit at JRC.
Prof. Vasallo together with prof. Valmasera, Head of Energy Division in CARTIF, visited the JRC's Energy Efficiency and Renewable and Energy Security, Distribution and Markets units.
This was an interesting opportunity to discuss about common research interests in energy in buildings and in smart cities, with focus on building energy modelling and data models, building energy monitoring systems and data handling, but also sustainable cities and energy planning at urban level.
