On 5 April 2016 the JRC presented the interactive and collaborative online European Energy Efficiency Platform. This beta platform is conceived to fill the gap opened by scattered data and fragmented knowledge resulting from a rapidly growing energy efficiency market. It is expected to be both a one-stop shop for information retrieval and a meeting point for experts to exchange data and reduce redundant activities.
Demand Response status in Member States: Mapping through real case experiences
In the framework of the on-going work to transpose and implement the Energy Efficiency Directive 2012/27/EU and in particular its Article 15 on Energy Transformation, Transmission and Distribution, this workshop aims at drawing an overall picture of the status of Demand Response in the Member States.
The objective is to point out where Demand Response is possible and how, as well as to investigate potential obstacles, such as legislative barriers, technical difficulties, market and contractual barriers, or lack of investment stability and financial return for demand response programmes.
