On 5 April 2016 the JRC presented the interactive and collaborative online European Energy Efficiency Platform. This beta platform is conceived to fill the gap opened by scattered data and fragmented knowledge resulting from a rapidly growing energy efficiency market. It is expected to be both a one-stop shop for information retrieval and a meeting point for experts to exchange data and reduce redundant activities.
Replicable Measures from Sustainable Energy Action Plans (SEAPs) of Ukraine
This document is aimed to present examples of the measures to local authorities that could be used for Sustainable Urban Demonstration projects (SUDeP)1 in the Eastern Partnership cities (Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan). The measures are related to the concrete implementation of the actions in line with the Sustainable Energy Action Plan (SEAPs) developed under the of Covenant of Mayors initiative2. The measures are focused on achieving energy savings and improving energy efficiency in the sectors where local authorities have the most control and influence. In addition, measures on renewable energy are considered along with measures on information systems to monitor and control energy consumption.
In this document measures are presented based on information described in SEAPs submitted by local Ukrainian authorities. It summarizes examples of most typical measures, whereas a detailed technical description of such measures can be found in the guidebook "How to develop the Sustainable Energy Action Plan (SEAP) in the Eastern Partnership and Central Asian Cities"3.
