On 5 April 2016 the JRC presented the interactive and collaborative online European Energy Efficiency Platform. This beta platform is conceived to fill the gap opened by scattered data and fragmented knowledge resulting from a rapidly growing energy efficiency market. It is expected to be both a one-stop shop for information retrieval and a meeting point for experts to exchange data and reduce redundant activities.
Help on the European Energy Efficiency Platform E3P
The European Energy Efficiency Platform (E3P) developed by the Joint Research Centre is a platform where experts from inside and outside the European Commission can collaborate on energy efficiency (More about the E3P).
The collaborative tools available to the users are split into three main pillars: the Data Hub, the wikEE and the Community.
The Data Hub
The Data Hub being the hub where datasets can be shared, viewed and elaborated. More information about the Data Hub is available as well as Help on how to use the Data Hub.
Other features of the E3P are the Publications, Events and News sections where this specific content can be shared.
The wikEE
The WikEE instead provides the user the chance to write and share articles of interest to the energy efficiency community. More information about the wikEE is available as well as Help on how to use the wikEE .
The Community
In the E3P, registered users can access all shared information. Users who have been granted Contributor's rights can create content for the platform, however only editors (i.e. users that have been granted editors' rights) can approve and publish submitted content to the platform.
